As a general guide, Freehold premises tend not to be tied to any particular brewery or supplier. Leasehold
premises are usually tied. But there are exceptions. In addition, some premises may have contractual
arrangements with breweries so we recommend that checks are made.
If you are considering buying a licensed premises to alter it for residential or other use it is advisable to
check with the local authority to see if planning permission is likely.
